All site personnel and support staff are fully committed to this system and ensure all aspects of it are followed, with the appropriate records maintained on site and in Head Office.

A & B Group is a painting contracting business incorporated since 1980. Our staff bring years of experience to bear in residential and light commercial building. The company is currently involved in numerous new build residential and commercial buildings, as well as many educational buildings.
Each site is provided with a designated Contracts Manager, who will visit the site on a regular basis. A working supervisor or foreman is on the job from start to finish and is responsible for supervising all A&B staff, as well as ensuring the works are carried out to our highest standards. All our Site Supervisors are First Aid trained and have achieved ‘Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme’ standard.

A & B Group are committed to providing and maintaining a working environment that ensures the health and safety of our employees, customers, contractors and visitors. We want to prevent accidents and illness by making sure that Health and Safety considerations are at the heart of everything we do.
A & B Group recognises that the talent and energy of the men and women, who work for them, are its most valuable assets. Everyone who works at A & B Group is encouraged to actively take part in and support this policy. The support of employees is necessary to achieve the objectives of the Policy and it is made clear that Health and Safety is a responsibility of equal standing with all other responsibilities.
The overall responsibility for Health and Safety lies with the Managing Director, Barry Taylor of A & B Group who will keep all personnel advised as to their responsibilities and those of the Company, in respect to health and safety matters detailed in the company organisation structure.

A & B Group is accredited to the ‘Constructionline’ Scheme – this requires us to provide pre-qualification information for potential clients.
A & B Group is a professional and environmentally conscious organisation, which acknowledges the impact our operations may potentially have on the environment. We have invested heavily in ‘Envirowash’ machines - these new EnviroSolutions EnviroWash Systems are an innovative, water-based treatment system that turns paint wash-out from brushes and rollers into clean water and inert solid waste, allowing for easier and safer disposal. We also ensure all other waste is removed from site on a regular basis, by our Suppliers, who issue us with the appropriate Transfer Notices.

The Contracts Manager will liaise with the Senior Surveyor, to ensure he is given all necessary information relating to any works required on site. The Senior Surveyor will issue Quotations to carry out any additional works, wherever possible. We will also request agreement of these Quotations before the works commence – this gives all parties the best chance of controlling any additional costs incurred.
The Managing Director and Commercial Manager will support all members of staff at all times and offer any necessary advice to ensure the works are carried out in accordance with the agreed terms of any Order issued.

Their contractors are stringently and regularly audited to make sure they meet or exceed their quality, service and sustainability criteria.
The Dulux Trade Contract Partnership also require their Contract Partners to sign up to an agreed code of practice. This demonstrates their commitment to providing the highest standards of service and quality, giving the client peace of mind that their project will be well-delivered.
