Health & Safety Policy

A & B Group are committed to providing and maintaining a working environment that ensures the health and safety of our employees, customers, contractors and visitors. We want to prevent accidents and illness by making sure that Health and Safety considerations are at the heart of everything we do.

A & B Group recognises that the talent and energy of the men and women, who work for them, are its most valuable assets. Everyone who works at A & B Group is encouraged to actively take part in and support this policy. The support of employees is necessary to achieve the objectives of the Policy and it is made clear that Health and Safety is a responsibility of equal standing with all other responsibilities.

The overall responsibility for Health and Safety lies with the Managing Director, Barry Taylor of A & B Group who will keep all personnel advised as to their responsibilities and those of the Company, in respect to health and safety matters detailed in the company organisation structure.

A & B Group recognises and accepts its responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Regulations which affect its activities.

A & B Group is accredited to the ‘Constructionline’ Scheme – this requires us to provide pre-qualification information for potential clients.

Environmental

A & B Group is a professional and environmentally conscious organisation, which acknowledges the impact our operations may potentially have on the environment. We have invested heavily in ‘Envirowash’ machines – these new EnviroSolutions EnviroWash Systems are an innovative, water-based treatment system that turns paint wash-out from brushes and rollers into clean water and inert solid waste, allowing for easier and safer disposal. We also ensure all other waste is removed from site on a regular basis, by our Suppliers, who issue us with the appropriate Transfer Notices.
